Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming siblings from Taiwan to our shrine.

It was their first visit to Japan, and we were delighted to learn that they had studied Japanese in school. They showed great familiarity with the language, which made the experience even more enjoyable for everyone.

During the sutra-copying experience, they wrote beautifully and smoothly, with great care and focus. It was truly impressive to see their dedication and skill.

We were also very happy to hear that they visited our shrine upon the recommendation of a friend in Taiwan. It is always a great joy to know that our shrine is being shared across borders.

While exploring the shrine grounds, they happily took photos of each other, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.

As they were leaving, they told us how much they had enjoyed their visit, which brought us great happiness as well.

We are sincerely grateful for this wonderful connection and hope to continue being a place where meaningful memories are made.

At Koto Chikage, we are dedicated to nurturing and supporting the limitless talents of children.

Many people came to the koto, dance and narration concert "Sakura Koto no Injushi" performed by children aged 6 to 13. Thank you very much.

At the Kogoku Chikei no Kai, we support the talents of infinite children.

Together, we created beautiful, delicate sounds. It was an honor to share such a special moment, performing pieces like “Sakura Sakura,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Imagine,” and weaving music together.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Special Concert of Japanese Culture featuring Yoshinao Tokugawa. Thank you very much for your presence.

This special concert, combining narration, dance, and the koto and sangen, is dedicated to presenting a new expression of the beauty of Japanese tradition. The theme of this performance was Yoshinao Tokugawa.

We hope you enjoyed the story of Yoshinao Tokugawa, woven together with the sounds of the koto and a sense of prayer.

As it is also the season to appreciate cherry blossoms, we were pleased to present a unique performance of “Sakura Sakura” by Daimiko Asai and Rie Asai—created especially for this moment and this day.

The other day, we had the pleasure of welcoming two visitors from Australia to our shrine, where they joined our Miko and Shinto priest experience.

Wearing traditional Miko and priest attire for the first time, they were smiling throughout, happily taking photos and enjoying every moment. It was truly heartwarming to see their genuine excitement.

One of the guests had previously studied Japanese, and she especially enjoyed the Shanoritō (Norito transcription) experience, carefully and thoughtfully engaging with each word.

During their visit, they also shared insights about Aboriginal culture in Australia, which gave us a valuable opportunity to learn from their traditions as well.

Being able to share Japanese culture while also learning about the culture of our guests created a meaningful and enriching cultural exchange. It was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience for us as well.

We sincerely hope to continue being a place where people and cultures can connect.
