Have you ever thought, “I’m interested in traditional Japanese music, but there’s no school nearby”?That’s exactly why Koto Chikage created its online classroom. All lessons are taught by experienced koto performers based in Japan, providing careful instruction starting from the basics. We are pleased to announce that on Sunday, November 16, 2025, Rie Asai and Koto Kids will perform at the Machinaka Geihō in Daido Steel Phenix Square, part of the Yattokame Cultural Festival 2025. Yattokame Cultural Festival 2025https://yattokame.jp/2025/ The Yattokame Cultural Festival 2025 kicks off on October 25, leading up to this grand finale event featuring Tsujikyōgen (street Noh), koto music, and street kabuki, wrapping up the festival in spectacular fashion. Admission is free — we warmly invite you to attend!

Koto Chikage (with a studio in Nishi Ward, Nagoya) offers hands-on experience playing traditional Japanese instruments such as the koto and shamisen.Children can experience performing on stage every March and October.We are pleased to announce that we will be expanding the number of slots available for our Traditional Japanese Culture Experience Course in the second half of 2025.We encourage you to take on the challenge!We look forward to meeting you!
