Thank you very much for visiting Wakeoe Shrine from Canada.

The other day, a mother and daughter from Canada visited our shrine to experience wearing traditional Miko and Shinto priest attire.
The daughter arrived already dressed beautifully in a kimono and hakama, and she was even able to speak a little Japanese. It was clear how deeply interested she was in Japanese culture.
When we asked where she had learned how to dress herself in kimono, she told us that she had learned through social media. We were truly impressed that she had studied and practiced such traditional customs while living overseas.
She also knew about the origins of Shinto and Japanese spiritual culture, which deeply moved us. We felt so grateful and touched to see people from abroad taking such a sincere interest in Japanese traditions and beliefs.
Throughout the visit, the mother and daughter happily took photos together, creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere within the shrine grounds.
We also had the opportunity to hear a little about Canada, and it became a very meaningful and enjoyable time for us as well.
We are truly happy if they were able to enjoy their time in Japan.
Thank you very much for visiting Wakeoe Shrine and for sharing such a wonderful experience with us.
